Below are examples of colours I may consider using for my project. My reason for differentiating with boxes is to show the coordination the certain colours share. This will help me in deciding the house style for my R&B and Hip Hop magazine.

PLAN: DETAILED SKETCHES FOR MY COVER, CONTENTS AND FEATURE PAGE
The above sketch is an example of how I want my contents page to look like. Giving just three features is just to give an image of how it would turn out when the actual production of my magazine takes place.

Twitter Audience Feedback
Adding more to my knowledge of my urban target audience, I decided to ask a question concerning the adverts/freebies that should compliment my magazine as they'd like to get something back aside the entertainment they get from the magazine. Most individuals went for wrist bands, so this will influence what strap-line I put at the bottom of my cover.
MAGAZINE PLAN
-One thing that encourages my ideas for my magazine is the
love a lot of people have for music and artists. The fact that
fans are deeply interested in their idols and will do anything to know them
better also gives me an insight to the range of artists I will feature and use as images for my cover.
-'VIBE' magazine is a perfect example of an RnB music magazine that influences some of my decisions I'm making for my magazine. In my previous post, I did some research on a range of cover pages by 'Vibe' magazine to show the similarities in what most their magazines look like and to also show what I'd like to change.
-I have illustrated a sketched plan for now of how I imagine the cover page, contents page and feature page of my magazine to be.

-Something important that I had to consider for my targeted
audience would be deciding to have freebies to compliment my magazine. After
the questionnaire I carried out, results showed to me that my audience are more
likely to purchase a magazine if a freebie came with it. Seeing as my
audience' age group is mainly from age
15-19, I thought again and realised most
teenagers don't have money to purchase a magazine and when they do, they'd like
to gain something from it.
-With this survey I re-considered and have finally decided to put in a freebie to accompany my magazine in order to widen the sales which I see as an excellent marketing strategy.
-As social media is used more often by both adults and teenagers, I feel it plays an important role in allowing people be aware of what is out there and to also allow me as the producer of the magazine know what my implied audience are interested in.
-Over the weekend, I asked a question on Twitter which is one of the worlds famous social network, "what kinds of freebies would you like to have in an RnB magazine"? majority said they'd like wrist bands with the featured artists name on it, others said pens, USB sticks, etc. Not surprised that some asked for stationery as my audience are students.
-I have decided that my magazine will be aimed at all races, however research may tell that the dominant race would be the black race as R&B and hip hop is what they are more interested in. I purposely do not have an estimate on the high ratio of boys and girls that will purchase my magazine. Here, my reason is that both boys and girls are very much interested in the urban genre and will do anything to purchase a magazine that updates them on what they love.
-My magazine has a primary target of young adolescents. They're mainly the target because the younger generation are more revolved around new technology and media. My aim is not just to advertise other media platforms but to also gain audience profiles from social media. I also expect to have a wider audience range as my magazine name will spread and be advertised on social sites by readers, I can say this because I know they are most likely to talk about the magazine which is my advertisement strategy.
-The aim of my magazine most importantly is to entertain; giving celebrity updates, interviews and gossip. Health and beauty will also be a feature in my magzine as females are most likely to purchase and actually make use of every page than males who would purchase strictly for celeb updates.
-The first idea for the name of my magazine was 'Rumble' I decided to scrap the name because I just felt it looked weird when I drew my first sketch of my cover page. 'Kvng' is the second name I came up with and actually liked the idea of it as it has connnotations with the genre I am trying to portray. With RnB and Hip Hop artists always love to associate themselves as 'Kings and Queens' of what they do, this inspired the name I came up with and I feel it looks perfect after drawing a sketch.
-The colour chromatics of my magazine will be a mixture of Pink, Purple, Blue and black. I chose this combination because I want the cover to be very eye catching and using a mixture of bright colours and toning colours to give it that unique and prestige look.
-My intention for my content page is to make it as simple as possible. I will be using a long shot of my 'artist' and have the feature pages on the left of the page.
-My magaizne cover will include catchy features only so as to appeal to my implied audiences, it will also have a bright promotion at the bottom that will have 'free'. My aim is to allow the freebie attract my buyer.
-Making the magazine will bring a lot of challenges and some things might have to change but I can only take it positively and adjust to it. Giving my magazine a prestige and sophisticated look is my overall aim.

Audience Profile Interview
This clip is a mini interview that shows 18 year old Naomi, my perfect example of my target audience talking about her ideal image of a front cover for a magazine. The original file is 1 minute, 26 seconds long, but having difficulties in uploading the file as it was to large, resulted in me cutting the file to 34 seconds. Towards the end she discusses other modern artists that she'd find interesting to cover an RNB magazine.
